meet the hosts

Maddie
I’m a freediver and underwater model from Sydney, Australia, where I grew up with a deep love for beaches and being in the ocean. I spend most of my days travelling the globe chasing summer, in search of authentic, untouched coastlines and magical worlds beneath the surface.

Ila
I’m a freediving coach and athlete who loves traveling to warm places, finding clear water, and ending up on beaches that usually require a bit of effort to reach. The ocean has always felt like home for me, and it’s where I’m the most grounded and curious.

I’m also a pole dance performer and acro yogi, with a background in swimming and a lifetime of being an active person, this mix of strength, body awareness, and fluidity shapes the way I move both above and below the surface.
Well-travelled and deeply connected to the water, freediving is the purpose that guides my adventurous journeys, and I can’t wait to share the experience with you.

Freediving and travel are how I explore myself.
I work in a very embodied way, paying attention to sensation and somatic cues, and that awareness shapes how I dive and how I move through the world.I’m here for depth, shared adventures, and the feeling of arriving somewhere untouched and knowing it was worth the journey.
And I can’t wait to share that with you.

FAQ

Can I come solo?

Definitely.
It’s an amazing way to meet like-minded women who share the same love for adventure and the ocean. We put a lot of intention into curating the trip itself, so everything is designed to be fun, relaxed, and social - making it easy to naturally connect with the group.

What will accommodation be like?

The places we stay vary throughout the trip. Most nights will be spent in guesthouses or hotels with comfortable, quality accommodation - shared twin rooms. At times, we’ll stay in locally owned homestays, supporting the local community, in some of the most beautiful but remote locations.
Here, accommodation is limited, so you may need to share a bed (two people per room in double bed) for one or two nights at most. It’s basic but clean, a small price to pay for a slice of paradise.

Where do I fly to?

You’ll book your international flight to Makassar (UPG), Indonesia. It’s well-connected through major Asian hubs such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bali, so getting there is straightforward from most parts of the world. Once in Makassar, you’ll take the short domestic flight to our secret location (we’ll send you all the details after you join the trip).

Where exactly is the trip?

We’re keeping the exact location private on purpose. It’s one of the most remote and untouched areas we’ve ever visited, and part of what makes it so special is that it hasn’t been exposed to mass tourism. To help keep it that way, we only share the specific location with confirmed participants.
What we can tell you: you’ll fly internationally to Makassar (UPG), Indonesia, and from there take a short domestic flight (around €50–60) to our secret destination. Once you’re part of the group, you’ll receive the full itinerary, all details, and travel instructions.

Do I need any dive qualifications or be a freediver?

Not at all! No certifications are required, and none will be offered - you’ll have a blast enjoying the marine life from the surface. If you can freedive, you’ll be able to go a bit deeper, safely supported by a certified buddy, with some occasional low-key line diving for fun.

What will the weather be like?

Expect classic tropical weather:
warm, sunny days with the occasional brief rain shower. This is the best season to visit, but the archipelago has a mind of its own, so short bursts of rain are totally normal - and usually pass quickly.
Daytime temperatures sit around 27–32°C, evenings cool slightly to 23–24°C, and the ocean is a beautifully warm 29–30°C.

How do I reserve my spot?

To secure your spot, a deposit of €500 is required. You’re welcome - and encouraged - to pay more at the time of your deposit if you wish. The full balance is due 80 days before the start of the trip (19th June 2026).
Before you make your deposit, we offer a free 15-minute onboarding call with your hosts. This is a chance to meet us, ask any questions about the trip, and make sure it’s the right fit for you.
